Harry new year! (guffaw etc)

We're going into the studio in Feburary to do versions of 'The River' and 'Get Out' for our next release. Tres excited. Artwork is done for it too.

We also now have a YouTube channel featuring gig videos. Bang your head in the direction of www.youtube.com/harryangeltv. Thanks and manshakes go to Pete Jones for the filming, he can be contacted at www.myspace.com/achildoutsidetime.

Last gig of 2009 on Wednesday 23rd Dec, The Wheatsheaf, Oxford

IT'S CHRISSSSTTMMAAAAASSSSS!

We have one gig left before 2010 and it's a cor-blimey-guvnor whopper of a sexfest. Why?

1. The other bands are the excellent UTE (dark/hopeful folky anthems with added Radiohead-style electronics) and the frankly certifiable VICARS OF TWIDDLY (ecclesiastically-dressed Beach Boys-lovin' surf-rockers).

2. We are opening the show. We have not done this since 1978. It means we don't need to bring the drums and bass amp, and hence can take the bus.

3. We are being paid in booze.

A very Merry Christmas awaits. Apologies in advance if we hug you drunkenly on the night.

Be there or FATHER CHRISTMAS WON'T COME.

Chris, Hayley, Dan and Andy

More gigs confirmed

These are they:

Thursday 10th September at The Cellar, Oxford, with The Elrics (check out their frontman, the very spit of Morrissey).

Wednesday 28th October at The Wheatsheaf.

Thursday 26th November at Fat Lils with Night Portraits.

Further details when we get them. Safe.

Holidays

[17.07.09]
Hello surfers of the World Wide Web. How do you surf on a web? Who knows. Anyway... we're on holiday for July and August so there will be no new updates. Thanks very much if you've come to see us recently - the gigs have been really good fun. Next gig is currently Fat Lils, Witney on Thursday 26th November, but we'll hopefully have another few before that.

Remember kids, always wear sunscreen.

Quick update to say...

[21.06.09] OMG HTML SK1LLZ !!! New reviews up. Well I say new. They're new here, at least. More importantly, you can view them as JPEGs or PDFs too. Sexy (if you're a geek).

You may well know, we're playing Fat Lil's, Witney on Thursday with groovemetallers Desert Storm and boy/girlnoiseniks Secret Rivals. Apparently Thursday is now the Big Night Out in Witney, due to drinks promotions at The Hollybush and Fat Lil's itself. So it should be a busy gig. Cool. Why not submit to your primal herd instincts and join us? Especially my geek brethren & sistren (who I hope will enjoy the picture).

Next gigs confirmed, good eh?

Howdy!

After playing a hungover, slightly randomized but still ROCKING gig at The Bully in Oxford (ta if you came), we've decided we're too big for this town. So it's off to the bright lights of Witney and Abingdon for us! But there will be chance for a teary farewell at the Wheatsheaf afore we go. You can't make us stay. You're not really pregnant.

So those gigs are on Friday 5th June (Klub Kakofanney at The Wheatsheaf), Thursday 25th June (Fat Lils, Witney) and [EDIT] Some Other Date for The Stocks, Abingdon (apologies, we've had to reschedule).

We hope you might make it along to one of them you lazy beggars.

Best wishes,

The Angels

Next gig - Saturday 2nd May, The Bullingdon Arms, Oxford

May Day! Well, the day after. Any excuse to mention Grace Jones.

Cheers very much to those who rocked up to our first gig back. Nightshift deigned it worthy of review, writing, "blah blah blah gothic fuzz blah blah adrenaline blah blah post-rock etc", which was nice of them. We were especially pleased with the photo. You can read it here.

We're playing again this Saturday at The Bullingdon on Cowley Road. Line up is THIN GREEN CANDLES (leftfield electro-pop by balding men), then us lot, then the wonderful TOUPE who are a p*ss funny comedy rock three-piece we played with last year. The fat arsey frontman is Grant Sharkey who you might have seen on the comedy circuit. Show starts at 9pm and we're on 9:50.

Also the gig is vaguely tied in to the 'Comic Book Day' celebrations taking place all day at Videosyncratic on the Cowley Road. There'll be a real X-Wing pilot in the shop signing things and 25% off all graphic novels and so on. Support your local comic book shop. Borders don't care who the best Silver Surfer is.

"Slaaave to the rytham!"
